The new and the old singer. Joe was member of the original trio - Joruma. After 10 years he is back in the band and ready to do some funk with us. |
 |
|
Successful
painter, musician and Joruma’s organisational backbone.
Being responsible for the management he is also composer and
lyricist of 90% of the songs. He is the last remaining member
of the original trio and the driving force behind the current
development of Joruma.

The Funky Horn himself! Regarding
his trombone playing, his motto might be "less is more",
but considering his outfit he is everything else but straight.
Always deeply loved by both the audience and the band, he
is a 110% fun(k) factor and guaranteed party entertainer.

Roman
Kovacs
bass |
The funky bass. It’s only the groove
that counts! As one of the long-time members of Joruma, he
is totally devoted to funk. He is responsible for refining
the arrangements and, as a typical bassist, the quiet eye
of the hurricane.

 |
Doogie
drums |
Cool, slack, always in a good mood
and in time, he is the archetypical groove machine. He plays
more or less every kind of music in a multitude of bands and
he is probably the only one who really knows what’s
currently happening.

Herby
King
sax |
At
the age of three, Herby traded his milk bottle for a saxophone
and from that day on he has always been in search of the ultimate
gig. Feeling at home in many musical styles, he plays in a
lot of bands ranging from jazz to pop, but his purest passion
are odd tunes.

Christian
Wechselauer
trumpet |
He became an integral part of the band in
2000 and is currently studying jazz trumpet at the musical
university of Vienna. He is also involved in other band projects,
where he is able to present his extraordinary skills to a
broad audience.

Maria
Jeitler
alt
- sax |
She is playing the saxophone once in a while. She is bussy with her one projects but always welcome to join as for a funky sax party.

David
Piribauer
drums |
Called
Dave by his friends in L.A. he is currently touring the USA
with his band REVIS. He studied at the MI in Los Angeles and
now he is ascending to fame and fortune in the real big business.
We not only appreciate him as a world class drummer but also
as a real friend.

Sue
Heiner
vocals |
A powerful voice wrapped in very little
fabric and a lot of glitter, she is studying economy in Madrid/Spain
and therefore out of reach for the moment. Not only is JORUMA
missing her vocal duties - many other promising bands must
also get along without her for some time.

 |
Ed
Lead
vocals |
Was the singer of the band from 2003 to 2006 . Appreciated
for his exemplary hold of the female fans, he is lead vocalist
in variety of rock and soul bands and is always short of time.
